Set Up UAFS Email on a University iPad

Follow these steps to add your university email to Microsoft Outlook.

Before you begin: Make sure the iPad is connected to the internet, and have your full UAFS email address and sign-in information handy.

Install the required apps

  1. Open Self Service. You can find the Self Service app on the iPad's Home Screen.
  2. Install Outlook and Authenticator. In Self Service, find Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Authenticator, then tap Install for each app. If either app shows Reinstall, it is already installed and you can leave it as it is. For help with setting up Authenticator.

Add your university email to Outlook

  1. Open Outlook. Tap the Outlook app on the Home Screen.
  2. Add your UAFS account. On the Add Account screen, enter your full university email address and tap Add Account.
  3. Sign in to UAFS. When the UAFS sign-in page opens, choose the sign-in method you normally use. Depending on your account, you may see a passkey, an Authenticator approval, a security key, or your password.
  4. Finish the verification. Complete the prompt for your chosen sign-in method. If Authenticator sends you an approval request, open it, approve the request, and then return to Outlook.
  5. Restart Outlook if requested. You may see a message saying that your organization is protecting its data in the app. If you do, tap OK, close Outlook, and open it again.
  6. Choose whether you want notifications. When Outlook asks about notifications, tap Turn On or No Thanks.

Confirm email is working

You're all set when your Outlook inbox opens and your university messages begin to appear. The first sync may take a few minutes.
